Overview

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is a spectacular journey on foot to the South Face of Mt. Annapurna (8091m). It is the 10th highest mountain in the world and the journey to its base camp is one of the most popular treks on earth.  Annapurna base camp hike is a pleasant excursion through the diverse Nepalese landscape and culture. Starting from the quaint lakeside of Pokhara. The trek goes through Tikkhedunga and Ghorepani that continues through the lush rhododendron forests and farmland to narrow gorges overlooked by the mighty peaks Himchuli and Machapuchhre. (Fishtail Mountain.)  During the trek, you can explore the incredible sunrise view over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges from Poon Hill (3210m).

Trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill will also offer you astounding mountain views. The trail takes you to the heart of the Gurung and Magar cultures and their traditional way of life. On your 14-day journey you will reach the base camp of the world’s 10th highest mountain, Annapurna-I (8,091m/26,545ft) Along with the sightseeing trip in Kathmandu to visit several UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Annapurna Sanctuary trekking introduces you to a wide variety of birds and wildlife whilst offering you the most magnificent views of the snow capped mountains of the Annapurna Range. Descending from ABC, you get the opportunity to enjoy the natural hot spring bath at Jhinu danda while returning to Pokhara to regale us with your adventures and achievements in the Annapurna Himalayas.

Best Season

Autumn (Sept to Nov) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for this trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy some peaceful time with nature then taking this trip during winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) could also be an option. However, the temperature during winter could be harsh for most guests. Trekking in the Summer or Monsoon seasons (June to Aug) will be affected by rain but the Summer trek could be a boon for a keen botanist.
